Kaylee Kelley is a first year PhD student focusing on Early Modern portraiture and materiality. Her Master\u2019s thesis entitled \u2018\u201cIllustrious Through Her Own Virtues\u201d: An Alternative Vision of Laura in Cinquecento Florentine Portraiture\u2019 investigated the relationship between devotional objects and portraiture vis-\u00e1-vis contemporary literature. Prior to BU, Kaylee completed a Master\u2019s at The Institute of Fine Arts and a Bachelor\u2019s at the University of St Andrews, where she earned a joint honours degree in the History of Art and English Literature. While Kaylee has previously worked at various galleries and museums, she most recently interned at the Medici Archive Project in Florence.<\/p>\n
