HAA Alumna named Director of Addison Gallery of American Art

Crosby Kemper Director of the Addison Gallery of American Art, at Phillips Academy.  The Addison is one of the most important museums of American art in the nation, with a collection of over 20,000 works.

Allison Kemmerer joined Phillips Academy in 1992, and was serving as Director ad interim, and before that as the Mead Curator of Photography and Senior Curator of Contemporary Art. Her new position begins December 1, 2021.

Before joining the Addison, she was Acting Director of the Boston University Art Gallery from 1991 to 1992.
