Book Named to Outstanding Academic Titles List
Freemasonry and the Visual Arts from the Eighteenth Century Forward, to which Prof. Moore, contributed a chapter, has been identified as one of 2020’s outstanding academic titles in art, sculpture, and photography by CHOICE, the prominent academic book review service. CHOICE’s review says that the essays in the volume “illustrate the significant impact the fraternity has had on the visual arts from the Enlightenment to the present in England, Continental Europe, and the US.” Prof. Moore’s essay is entitled “Solomon’s Temple in America: Masonic Architecture, Biblical Imagery, and Popular Culture, 1865-1930.”
