Explore mental\u00a0health and wellness resources below.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Mental &amp; Emotional Wellbeing<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/mental-health\/alcohol-drugs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Alcohol &amp; Drug Programs<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a>If you or someone you love is struggling with alcohol or drugs, Student Health Services offers a wealth of information on counseling, recovery, screening, and intervention services.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/behavioral-medicine\/services-we-provide\/behavioral-medicine-groups\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Counseling and Psychiatric Services &#8211; Groups &amp; Workshops<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) offers various workshops and groups to help you address a variety of mental health related needs. Participating in one of these options will help decrease isolation and expand your support network, while gaining effective coping skills.<\/span><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/headspace\">Headspace<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>Headspace is the mindfulness app that helps with stress, anxiety, sleep, and focus. And the best part is, you get it for free as a BU graduate student.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/card\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU Center for Anxiety &amp; Related Disorders<br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong>BU CARD is a clinic specializing in anxiety disorders and related challenges, such as mood, sleep, concentration, and pain and is open to both adults and children.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/behavioral-medicine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Student Health Services &#8211; Counseling &amp; Psychiatric Services (CAPS)<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a>If you\u2019re experiencing mental health challenges, the experts at CAPS provide a range of services, community referrals, and other resources to guide you towards emotional health and stability.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/sarp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Survivor Advocacy, Response &amp; Prevention (SARP)<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>The Survivor Advocacy, Response &amp; Prevention (SARP) compassionately responds to survivors of trauma and prevents interpersonal violence through awareness and education. SARP provides free-of-charge counseling and advocacy to Boston University students who have experienced a traumatic event. SARP clinical services include a 24\/7 crisis line, advocacy (medical, legal, and academic), individual counseling and referrals to community providers, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/sarp\/services-we-provide\/sarp-groups-workshops\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">group counseling<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/behavioral-medicine\/services-we-provide\/terriers-connect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Terriers Connect<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Terriers Connect training program teaches members of the Boston University community to identify signs of distress, develop effective skills for communicating with and supporting students, and provide accurate information about referrals to mental health professionals.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/behavioral-medicine\/togetherall\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Togetherall Peer Support<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Togetherall is a peer-to-peer mental health support community, available online for <strong>all<\/strong> BU students. It is completely anonymous and monitored by mental health professionals 24\/7.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/sarp\/how-we-prevent\/graduate-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Interrupt: A Training for Graduate Students<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<span>Graduate students, especially doctoral candidates, face a unique set of challenges when confronted with sexual misconduct. Power differentials, dual roles, gender-based harassment, and the interpersonal dynamics that often exist in a department or cohort can contribute to difficult situations.\u00a0<\/span><span><em>Interrupt<\/em>\u00a0is an interactive training designed to help graduate students identify opportunities, and build the skills, to interrupt sexual misconduct.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/danielsen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>The Danielsen Institute<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a>The Albert &amp; Jessie Danielsen Institute offers individual, couples, family &amp; group therapy in an outpatient mental health clinic for persons in the greater Boston area.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Physical Wellbeing<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/shs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Student Health Services \u2013 Primary Care<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nHealthcare services for when you\u2019re not feeling well and preventive care to support your physical health during your time at BU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/scnc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sargent Choice Nutrition Center<br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong>Sargent offers an array of nutrition services and counseling to the BU community, including help with weight loss, food allergies, and sports nutrition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU Fitness &amp; Recreation Center<br \/>\n<\/a><\/strong>FitRec is free for full time students at BU, with a nominal fee for spouses and children. This phenomenal facility offers individual and group fitness and recreation activities, from swimming to rock climbing to yoga to personal training.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bumc.bu.edu\/2019\/01\/28\/bumc-access-to-fuller-gym\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BUMC Fuller Gym<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nAll BUMC students, faculty, and staff have access to the Fuller Gym. Fitness and yoga classes are available by signing up for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/fitness\/fitpass\/medcampusfitpass\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Medical Campus FitPass<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/recreation\/aquatics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Aquatics<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/a>FitRec has two pools, designed for all types of swimmers. Choose from SCUBA, aerobics, diving, and swimming classes, as well as as well as a comprehensive program of American Red Cross certification courses in Lifeguard Training and Water Safety.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/recreation\/sailing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Sailing, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nTake a beginning or intermediate sailing class, or rent kayaks and paddle boards and head out on the Charles River.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/recreation\/rowing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Rowing &amp; Sculling<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe DeWolfe Boathouse, on the Cambridge side of the Charles River, is BU\u2019s state-of-the-art facility to sharpen your rowing skills or to learn to row or scull.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/recreation\/ski-snow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ski &amp; Snowboard Program<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nLearn to ski or take your skills to the next level with BU\u2019s February ski program at Nashoba Valley. A bus takes you to the mountain, where certified instructors teach group classes. Afterwards, you can hit the trails.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/fitrec\/recreation\/skating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Skating<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nGlide across the ice at an open skate, or take skating lessons at the Walter Brown Arena on the Charles River Campus.<\/p>\n<h2>Financial Wellbeing<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Kindros: Self Paced Personal Finance Learning<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nKindros is a free money management learning platform available to the Boston University community. All you need to create a Kindros account is a Boston University email address. Self-paced learning modules include earning, budgeting, saving, credit scores, borrowing, insurance, housing, education, and retirement.
