3MT Workshop: Communicating with a Broad Audience

Knowing how to communicate your science can help you publish your work, network, get a job, make friends, influence people… and more!

Being able to share your work with a broad audience in such a way that they can relate to it, understand its importance and leave your talk excited about what they've learned will be a major asset in your professional and your career development, regardless of the sector you will join after your PhD. Communicating with a broad audience requires that you know who you are communicating with and adapt your message accordingly, can frame your message in a clear, accessible and concise manner, while appropriately using the media of choice.
