Scott Chase

Scott Chase is a second-year doctoral student specializing in Religions of the Ancient Mediterranean.  He studies Hellenistic and Roman Israel, with a special concern for the intersection of religious ideas and movements with geography, landscape and the built environment. He holds a Master of Theological Studies, concentrating in Biblical Studies, from Boston University (2015), and a Master of Arts in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies from Brandeis University (2019).  He has participated in five seasons of excavations in Northern Israel, including three with the Hellenistic Galilee Project.
