Alexandra Bayer

Alexandra Bayer is a fourth-year doctoral student focusing on contemporary Islam in the United States working under Professor Kecia Ali.  Her work addresses questions of pluralism, citizenship, civic and sacred spatial negotiations, and ritual. Alex earned a BA in International Studies (2016) and an MA in Religious Studies (2018), both from the University of Missouri.
