She manages the team\u2019s travel risk management system and contributes to monitoring world events and international health, safety and security conditions. Thea also develops training materials for BU students, faculty, and staff and assists in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures for the University community.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to serving as the Health, Safety and Security Manager, Thea was the Student Engagement Specialist at BU\u2019s Center for English Language &amp; Orientation Programs (CELOP), where she developed programs that enhanced the quality of intercultural exchange and language acquisition of CELOP students.<\/p>\n<p>Before joining Boston University, Thea served as an AmeriCorps Teaching Fellow in Boston, as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Indonesia as a Teacher Trainer, and as a Teaching Assistant in France.
