How do I prepare for overseas travel?

What if I test positive before or during travel?
- Positive pre-flight test; cannot travel
- Have plan to salvage, replace or postpone activity
- Positive test on arrival or during the activity and required isolation
- Have identified available resources to support isolated travelers if required by host country
What is required for a return to the United States?
- Proof of vaccination if not a US citizen
- If traveling by air, a passenger disclosure and attestation, to be collected by the airline.
Does my insurance cover Covid costs?
- Find out what your personal health insurance does and does not cover.
- Typically, health insurance will cover the cost of medical issues, such as a PCR test if referred by a physician, or hospitalization due to illness.
- Typically, health insurance will not cover the cost of asymptomatic testing, including the test needed for return to the US, any costs related to room and board during isolation, or change fees for flight changes.
