The center is a federal National Resource Center funded under Title VI to promote language and area studies in Africa.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"links\">\n<li class=\"website\"><a class=\"button\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/africa\/\">African Studies Center<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"featured-item\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8394\" src=\"\/global\/files\/2011\/07\/tropical1.jpg\" alt=\"Boston University Marine Program\" width=\"206\" height=\"127\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Boston University Marine Program (BUMP)<\/h3>\n<p>The hands-on, research-oriented curriculum in Marine Science is a decidedly interdisciplinary one, with courses and faculty from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/biology\">Biology<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/earth\/\">Earth &amp; Environment<\/a>. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future<\/h3>\n<p>The Pardee Center convenes symposia and conducts interdisciplinary, policy-relevant, and future-oriented research that contributes to long-term improvements in the human condition. The center\u2019s focus is defined by its longer-range vision (35-200 years) and encompasses a multitude of topics, including research on the future of energy, South Asia, global economic governance, and the developing world.
