Activity Overview
     Split up the class into teams. Each team is to have a map of the back field. Locate the two flags 
on your map. Estimate the distance between the two points using the provided scale on the bottom of 
the page (in meters).  Using a meter stick, students should go outside and actually measure the distance 
between the two flags.


Student should then find the difference between the measurement they estimated on the map and the 
actual distance measured outside.


Students should then: 
Determine the latitude and longitude of point 1. 
Determine the latitude and longitude of point 2. 
Determine the latitude and longitude of point 3.
