The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya and reports to the Country Representative, working closely with the Senior Advisor: KMMP, and the Senior Program Manager. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Areas of Responsibility:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Map regional areas and identify relevant partners implementing peer-based PMTCT support programs<br \/>\n\uf02d\tExamples of potential partners include EGPAF, CARE, FHI, Walter Reed, AMPATH, FACES\/UCSF, ICAP, Pathfinder, University of Maryland, WOFAK and others<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct a desk review of available information on partner approaches<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop assessment tools<br \/>\n\uf02d\tIncluding qualitative and quantitative dimensions of programming approaches<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct partner assessments including administration of questionnaires and direct observation, with the support of select m2m program staff<br \/>\n\u2022 Analyze quantitative and qualitative data gathered<br \/>\n\u2022 Compile findings and generate regional reports<br \/>\n\u2022 Disseminate reports in partner forums<br \/>\n\uf02d\tWorkshop assessment findings with key stakeholders to refine learnings and verify recommendations<br \/>\n\u2022 Refine final report based on additional partner insights and feedback<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarize key m2m staff with all aspects of report for utilization by the KMMP sub-committee <\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience Required:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in health sciences or a related field; or bachelor\u2019s degree in health sciences or a related field with commensurate experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in a public health programmatic capacity, including program design, management and evaluation<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience working with health systems and health service delivery in Kenya<br \/>\n\u2022 Background in HIV\/MCNH\/SRH in sub-Saharan Africa<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated assessment experience in the public health context<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies Required:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Strong information gathering and assessment skills, including tool design, analysis and report-writing<br \/>\n\u2022 Diplomacy and excellent interpersonal skills; ability to engage partner organizations in a non-threatening manner<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent writing, formatting and presentation skills; ability to consolidate information and narrate it clearly to a target audience<br \/>\n\u2022 Familiarity with the m2m model a distinct advantage<br \/>\n\u2022 Dynamism, creativity and flexibility<br \/>\n\u2022 Fluency in English (both written and oral) required<br \/>\n\u2022 High level of computer literacy (MS office)<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while ensuring that project deliverables are on track according to the organization\u2019s identified needs<br \/>\n\u2022 Enthusiasm to work on behalf of m2m\u2019s mother and infant clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact: Please see or e-mail Dr. Jim Wolff (jwolff@bu.edu) if you are interested in this position.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>mothers2mothers (m2m)<\/strong> is an international non-governmental organisation headquartered in Cape Town, SA, dedicated to providing education and support to pregnant women and mothers living with HIV, and preventing mother-to-child transmission. m2m empowers HIV-positive pregnant women and new mothers to become role models in their communities by promoting AIDS awareness, testing and services. m2m currently operates in 9 countries in Africa and receives funding from a diverse set of funders.
