Attached is an excellent Applied Epi Fellowship opportunity which starts in the summer of 2014.\u00a0 Applications are due by Jan 17th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Here are some quick highlights:<\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Focus areas include Infectious Disease, Chronic Diseases, Environmental Health, Infectious Diseases (including HAI, Quarantine, and Food Safety), Injury Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, Occupational Health, Oral Health, and Substance Abuse.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Fellows have 2 mentors at their site, so there is a lot of guidance as they learn the ropes<\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Candidates are NOT required to be epi concentrators, but must have had at least 3 courses of epi, and 1 of biostats. <\/span><\/b><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Applications are due January 17, and there is an essay requirement and 3 letters of recommendation, so applicants may want to get started soon. <\/span><\/p>\n \u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>There is also one-year fellowship offered by CSTE – the Applied Public Health Informatics Fellowship.
