For students working on their Culminating Experience this fall<\/strong>:
\nThe final, approved draft is due on December 20 by 5:00pm<\/strong>.\u00a0 If you are working on your CE this fall and do not think you will be able to submit your final draft by this deadline, please let me know ASAP.\u00a0 Directions for the CE are available through the IH Blast CE tab<\/a>, and also copied here:<\/p>\n

When you have completed your CE:<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Forward your advisor\u2019s approval email<\/strong> to jump@bu.edu<\/a> or ask them to CC Emily when sending it to you.\u00a0 This is the email where they say \u201cfinal CE approved!\u201d<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Update your CV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Complete a CE Cover Sheet<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Complete the online Submission of CE Form<\/strong><\/a>. You may upload your completed CE with cover sheet and your CV at the end of the online form.<\/p>\n

<\/em><\/p>\n

Once Emily has received all of your documents, she will notify the Registrar of your successful completion and confirm with you by email! <\/em><\/p>\n

For students intending to do their CE this spring<\/strong>:
\nThe first deadlines come sooner than you might think!<\/p>\n

For Option 2 and 3<\/em> (Journal Article or Independent Project), your project proposal and CE contract are due January 11th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Option 2 and 3 project proposals should be reviewed and approved by your CE advisor before <\/strong>they are submitted.\u00a0 This means that you should be sure to communicate with your CE advisor well before the January 11th<\/sup> deadline<\/strong>, which falls before classes resume in Spring term.\u00a0 A committee will then review your project proposal and notify you of any necessary changes.<\/p>\n

For Option 1<\/em> (Policy Analysis), the problem purpose statement and CE contract are due January 24th<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To start your CE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Complete a CE Completion Contract<\/strong> for the semester. If you started your CE in a previous semester and wish to continue work into the next semester, you will need to re-submit your contract. Contracts must be signed by you and your advisor. If your advisor is unable to sign the contract, you may forward an email indicating their approval to jump@bu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

CE Completion Contract Spring 2012<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Depending on your CE Option, complete either a Problem Purpose Statement<\/strong> or a Project Proposal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3) <\/strong>Complete the online \u201cRequest to Complete CE Form<\/strong><\/a>\u201c. You may upload your CE Completion Contract and Problem Purpose Statement\/Project Proposal at the end of the online form.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
