It had been offered in collaboration with the\u00a0Instituto Nacional de Salud Publica (INSP) in\u00a0<span>Cuernavaca, 70 kilometers south of Mexico City.<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>**The\u00a0program, is no longer active. <\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><b style=\"font-size: 13px;\">What does the field practicum consist of?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will carry out a community assessment<\/li>\n<li>You will work alongside MPH students at School of Public Health in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico<\/li>\n<li>You will report your findings back to the community<\/li>\n<li>You will prioritize health needs together with the community<\/li>\n<li>You will earn 4\u00a0credits, (course number: GH774).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>What are the requirements?<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BU SPH MPH student in good standing, having 16 credits completed by time of program.<\/li>\n<li>High proficiency in Spanish<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to work in a team with students from a higher education institution in Mexico<\/li>\n<li>Interest in working in the community<\/li>\n<li>Availability to attend five\u00a0orientation sessions during\u00a0Spring Semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Summer 2020 Program Details<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Course Dates:<\/strong>\u00a0May 7\u00a0 &#8211; July 10, 2020 &#8211; 10\u00a0weeks<\/p>\n<p><strong>2020 Orientation Dates<\/strong>\u00a0scheduled 8am-10am on five\u00a0Fridays within the spring semester:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>February 21, 8am-10am: Community Health Assessment<\/li>\n<li>March 1, 8am-10am: Protocol for the Assessment<\/li>\n<li>March 8, 8am-10am: Priority Health Assessment<\/li>\n<li>March 22, 8am-10am: Precede \u2013 Proceed Model<\/li>\n<li>March 29, 8am-10am: Housing and Departure Briefing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Program Info &#8211; <\/strong>\u00a0PowerPoint presentation from info sessions: <a href=\"\/ghblast\/files\/2019\/11\/Presentacion-practica-comunitaria-Mexico-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Presentacion &#8211; practica comunitaria &#8211; Mexico 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Application Information<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"\/ghblast\/files\/2019\/09\/Application_Information_Sheet_2020.v1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Application_Information_Sheet_2020<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Download the <a href=\"\/ghblast\/files\/2015\/01\/Assumption_of_Risk_and_Release_of_Liability_Form.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability Form<\/a>.\u00a0You must sign and scan a copy of it.
