For students traveling overseas, that means a health insurance policy which provides comprehensive services at the destination as well as in the U.S. It is the obligation of each student to verify that his or her health insurance provides adequate coverage. \u00a0Students traveling internationally may need to purchase additional policies to bridge the gaps in coverage, depending on their situation.\u00a0The possible scenarios are:<\/p>\n<p>I) \u00a0Students who have purchased the Boston University Student Medical Insurance Plan are automatically enrolled in worldwide emergency travel assistance services through OnCall International. Please review under <strong><em>For Members<\/em><\/strong> menu, the\u00a0<strong><em>Travel Assistance<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0tab, under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetnastudenthealth.com\/students\/student-connection.aspx?GroupID=711110\" target=\"_blank\">Aetna&#8217;s Boston University&#8217;s plan<\/a> &#8211; and the PDF document,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetnastudenthealth.com\/schools\/15-16_ASH%20Description%20of%20On%20Call%20Services_Final_8%2017%2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Aetna &amp; OnCall Description of Travel Assistance Services<\/a>, for a complete description of the services provided. \u00a0Students going overseas on this coverage, should download contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetnastudenthealth.com\/schools\/OnCallIDCard.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">OnCall ID Card<\/a> and call to verify that OnCall provides coverage in your specific countries of travel.<\/p>\n<p>II) \u00a0Students who need coverage (and those who desire more than the Aetna &amp; OnCall Plan provides) can purchase a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/globalprograms\/manage\/international-travel\/insurance\/\" target=\"_blank\">Comprehensive Coverage Plan with HTH<\/a>\u00a0for about\u00a0$2.85\/day which you can purchase <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hthstudents.com\/ge.cfm?ac=KZG-38057%20\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
