The new distribution solution\u2014the parallel supply chain (PSC)\u2014has consistently delivered on supply chain performance, visibility, and accountability.<\/p>\n<p>By contracting with Imperial Health Sciences (formerly known as RTT) and Cargo Management Limited (CML)\u2014the local freight and logistics company\u2014the project has helped raise the standard of private-sector logistics services. CML can now offer the health sector higher quality, more sustainable, and more efficient supply chain service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Work<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Graduate Researcher will liaise with USAID | DELIVER PROJECT Country Director and Erin Hasselberg to compile a 8-10 page case study on the implementation of the parallel supply chain. The case will be used for teaching purposes and potentially submitted to Harvard Business School Review. Activities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Desk review of existing reports and presentations on PS (2 days)<\/li>\n<li>Phone\/Skype Interviews with Country Director and PSC staff (3 days)<\/li>\n<li>Develop Case Outline and solicit feedback (2 days)<\/li>\n<li>Write Case (5 days)<\/li>\n<li>Solicit feedback and make edits based on feedback (3 days)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum skills required\/desired:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken English skills<\/li>\n<li>1-2 yrs supply chain experience or completion of GH722 (my Supply Chain Course)<\/li>\n<li>Preferred familiarity with Sub-Saharan Africa health systems<\/li>\n<li>Ability to digest large amounts of qualitative data into succinct, digestible case-style writing<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with initial guidance and monthly check-in meetings over the semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Time \/ Date Expectations :<\/strong><br \/>\nSpring Semester: 8 hours per week; if time allowed to complete in first half of the semester that would be excellent!
