Graduate Student Research Grants on Latin America

The Latin American Studies Program at Boston University is pleased to announce this year’s competition for funding to sponsor graduate research on Latin America. Projects on Latinos in the US will also be considered. In particular, this initiative is aimed at students completing Master Papers or PhD Dissertations or other significant research projects for academic credit. The funds can be used for travel or other research expenses between December 2016 and June 2017. The competition is open to LASMA students, and other graduate students conducting research on Latin America

(Having a well thought out, detailed plan of research will improve your chances of success.)
Evidence that you are also seeking other avenues of funding (such as GRAF or outside sources)
A letter of recommendation from a LAS faculty member
A small number of awards may be made, up to $800 per student, according to the strength of the proposal, the costs of the project, and your overall qualifications.
