{"id":1914,"date":"2012-02-27T07:56:25","date_gmt":"2012-02-27T12:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/geddes\/?p=1914"},"modified":"2012-02-27T08:19:12","modified_gmt":"2012-02-27T13:19:12","slug":"blackboard-language-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/geddes\/2012\/02\/27\/blackboard-language-support\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackboard Language Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, 2\/24, IS&amp;T activated the language packs in Blackboard.\u00a0 The language packs allow an instructor to change the user interface language\u00a0to French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Japanese\u00a0or Arabic.\u00a0 All of the menus, messages, and buttons for a course will automatically appear in the target language instead of English.\u00a0 Changing the language is easy and can be accomplished in four steps:<\/p>\n<p>1. Click &#8220;Control Panel&#8221;<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1910\" title=\"blackboard01\" src=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard01.png\" alt=\"blackboard01\" width=\"143\" height=\"90\" \/><\/a><a href=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard021.png\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2. Choose &#8220;Settings&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard021.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1915\" title=\"blackboard02\" src=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard021.png\" alt=\"blackboard02\" width=\"324\" height=\"95\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/>3. Choose &#8220;Set Language Pack&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard03.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-1912\" title=\"blackboard03\" src=\"\/geddes\/files\/2012\/02\/blackboard03.png\" alt=\"blackboard03\" width=\"142\" height=\"198\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><br style=\"clear: both;\" \/>4. Select the appropriate language pack.
