Boston Area Languages Consortium<\/strong> (BALC) – Assistant Dean and Director of Language Instruction Gisela Hoecherl-Alden has worked with the CAS Administration to strengthen ties among research universities in the Boston area. Benefits for students include arrangements in the future to enroll in less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) at any of the institutions where such languages are offered.
