His Ph.D. thesis on the political economy of the World Bank was published by Stanford University Press (2009) and translated in Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic, and Russian. Other publications on the history of postwar development ideas and organizations have appeared in international peer-reviewed journals, including <em>History of Political Economy<\/em>, <em>Review of Political Economy<\/em>, <em>Journal of Global History<\/em>, <em>Development<\/em>, <em>Rivista di Storia Economica<\/em>, <em>The Journal of Modern Italian Studies<\/em>, and the <em>Journal of the History of Economic Thought<\/em>. In the past, Dr. Alacevich\u00a0has taught\u00a0history of development ideas,\u00a0U.S. foreign relations, international economic history, and the history of international organizations.<\/p>\n<p>After defending his Ph.D. thesis, Dr. Alacevich was hired by the World Bank (2006-2008) to conduct historical research on the economic policies of borrowing countries, the influence of Bank economists on these policies, and the Bank\u2019s organizational changes.
