Originally from Ecuador, Ana Mar\u00eda holds an M.A. in Economics from Yale University and a B.A. in Economics, with a minor in Mathematics, from Universidad San Francisco de Quito. Her work bridges macroeconomic development and environmental economics, with a focus on how natural disasters and resilience policies shape long-run growth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before starting her Ph.D., Ana worked with a wide range of international organizations\u2014including the IMF, OAS, World Bank, WWF and UNDP\u2014as well as with public institutions in Ecuador.
