His research <\/span>focuses on designing contracts to support new technological innovations in Africa and other developing regions. He draws on frameworks from contract theory, law and New Institutional Economics. He has particular expertise in analyzing and building \u201cbridge contracts,\u201d which firms and governments are using to move into rural and frontier areas in Africa. He is exploring mobile money in Kenya, \u201cHello Tractor\u201d which is a so-called \u201cUber-for-tractor\u201d sharing app in Nigeria, and the \u201cBboxx\u201d micro-solar energy service in Rwanda.
