{"id":22442,"date":"2022-10-24T13:45:43","date_gmt":"2022-10-24T18:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=22442"},"modified":"2024-11-20T10:32:42","modified_gmt":"2024-11-20T15:32:42","slug":"purvaja-modak","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/profile\/purvaja-modak\/","title":{"rendered":"Purvaja Modak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span class=\"x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle\">Purvaja Modak is a Non-Resident Senior Research Fellow with the Global Economic Governance Initiative advising on the G20. <\/span>She is also an invited member of the Indo Pacific Circle, a curated network of early and mid-career scholars working on emerging issues in the Indo-Pacific region. <span class=\"x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle\">Prior to joining, Purvaja was the Program Manager for Business and Policy at the Asia Society India Centre.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle\">She has previously worked as\u00a0<\/span>a Research Fellow, International Relations \u2013 Geoeconomics at the Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) and a Researcher for Geoeconomic Studies and the Manager of the Research Office at Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, a Mumbai based foreign policy think tank working at the intersection of business and foreign policy. She was also a fellow at the 2nd G20 Global Leadership Programme 2019, hosted by the Korean Development Institute (KDI) and the Korean Ministry of Strategy and Finance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Her research focuses on issues of global economic governance, international trade and finance, economic diplomacy and multilateral financial institutions.<span class=\"x_DefaultFontHxMailStyle\">\u00a0<\/span>She holds a Masters degree in Economics (MA) from the University of Mumbai with a focus on international trade, finance and regional monetary arrangements and a Bachelors Degree in Economics (BA) from Jai Hind College, Mumbai.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":19363,"template":"","_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/22442"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/profile"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/19363"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/22442\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":22445,"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/profile\/22442\/revisions\/22445"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=22442"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
