By becoming an Affiliate Faculty Member, BU faculty can engage more deeply with the GDP Center and gain access to additional opportunities for collaboration, including priority consideration for funding to support collaborative research proposals. Faculty affiliations with the GDP Center are open to tenured, tenure-track, research professors, professors of the practice, and full-time faculty with unmodified titles across the University.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Benefits for Affiliate <\/strong><strong>Faculty Members<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"156\" data-end=\"305\">\n<p data-start=\"158\" data-end=\"305\"><strong data-start=\"158\" data-end=\"243\">Priority consideration for funding that supports collaborative research proposals<\/strong> available to GDP Center Core and Affiliate Faculty Members.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"306\" data-end=\"433\">\n<p data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"433\"><strong data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"348\">Access to opportunities for students<\/strong>, including fieldwork funding through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/gdp\/education\/summer-in-the-field-program\/\"><em data-start=\"390\" data-end=\"430\">Summer in the Field Fellowship Program<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"434\" data-end=\"602\">\n<p data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"602\"><strong data-start=\"436\" data-end=\"472\">Strategic and logistical support<\/strong>, including assistance with <strong data-start=\"500\" data-end=\"535\">proposal and budget development<\/strong> for sponsored research activities facilitated by the GDP Center.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"603\" data-end=\"721\">\n<p data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"721\"><strong data-start=\"605\" data-end=\"655\">Opportunities to publish, produce, and promote<\/strong> working papers and policy briefs on development-related issues.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"722\" data-end=\"895\">\n<p data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"895\"><strong data-start=\"724\" data-end=\"759\">Engagement in Center activities<\/strong>, including research meetings, speaker events, expert workshops, and other academic gatherings that foster collaboration and exchange.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"896\" data-end=\"1060\">\n<p data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"1060\"><strong data-start=\"898\" data-end=\"926\">Visibility and promotion<\/strong> of research and publications through GDP Center communication channels, including the website, social media, and email newsletters.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1061\" data-end=\"1254\">\n<p data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1254\"><strong data-start=\"1063\" data-end=\"1107\">Access to Center facilities and services<\/strong>, including reservation of the GDP Center conference room and webinar streaming support for development-related events (subject to availability).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1381\">\n<p data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1381\"><strong data-start=\"1257\" data-end=\"1294\">Opportunities to provide feedback<\/strong> on the Center\u2019s activities and programs through the annual Affiliate Faculty Survey.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h5><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Interested faculty are invited to email William Kring at <a href=\"mailto:gdpadmin@bu.edu\">gdpadmin@bu.edu<\/a>\u00a0including a brief statement outlining their reasons for seeking affiliation, how they hope to benefit from the association, how their research aligns with the Center\u2019s mission and\/or research initiatives, and a current CV.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Boston University Global Development Policy Center (GDP Center) is now welcoming expressions of interest for Affiliate Faculty Members on a rolling basis.
