Kimberly Pope (Pardee ’07) is a member of the Boston University Global Development Policy Center Alumni Advisory Board. She works as a Senior Consultant to Philanthropy Advisors and as the Interim Head of Partnerships at the World Health Organization’s Foundation.

Since her graduation from Boston University in 2007, Ms. Pope has worked for several humanitarian and development organizations and multilateral agencies. Previously, she relocated to Geneva, Switzerland to work at the World Economic Forum’s Platform for Global Public Goods (PGPG). At PGPG, she focused on raising ambition for action on issues of biodiversity and nature loss and on tackling this challenge through public-private cooperation.

After graduation, Ms. Pope moved to Washington, D.C., to support the implementation of a $49.9 million USAID-funded community development and livelihoods program in Colombia focused on using in-kind grants to local organizations to restore government services in areas recently recovered from armed groups. She then attained her master’s degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and spent several years working in New York and Nairobi for the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a nonprofit that responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people rebuild their lives. She later joined the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) as an expert on humanitarian policy.
