Supervisory Consultations

If you are concerned about a supervisee’s or coworker’s performance, it may be wise to get information on what to say and how to handle the situation. While some of us would rather ignore the problem and hope it will go away, early intervention is more likely to be successful in helping the employee confront the issue and function more effectively in the job. Possible causes of inadequate job performance are depression, family issues, immaturity, job dissatisfaction, personality conflicts, substance abuse, and medical illness.  Problems may arise suddenly or over a longer period of time.
