Boston Logan International Airport is served by the MBTA, Boston&#8217;s public transit system; a taxi from the airport to BU&#8217;s campus should cost approximately $40. Further away, but also accessible are airports in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flymanchester.com\/\">Manchester, New Hampshire<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pvdairport.com\/\">Providence, Rhode Island<\/a>. If taking the train, attendees should arrive at Boston&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.south-station.net\/\">South Station<\/a>, which is a short subway or taxi ride to campus.<\/p>\n<p>Guests who will be driving to the conference are welcome to use Boston University Parking while they are on campus. Parking Services recommends that all guests use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/parking\/info\/lots\/\">Granby Lot<\/a>, which is located at 665 Commonwealth Avenue. Parking at Boston University costs $2 per half hour, with a maximum charge of $12 for the day.<\/p>\n<p>Those guests who will be taking Boston public transportation should take the Green B line to Boston University Central for all events held in the Photonics Center. The Photonics Center is located on St. Mary&#8217;s Street, just a 30 second walk from the train. For the closing dinner, guests should take the MBTA Green B line to Boston University East. One Silber Way is just across the street from the T.<\/p>\n<p>Accommodation: A hotel block has been arranged at BU&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotelcommonwealth.com\/\">Hotel Commonwealth<\/a>, which is located in Kenmore Square, just a five minute walk to the Boston University campus. When calling the hotel, please be sure to mention that you are booking as part of the African Americans &amp; US Foreign Policy group. There are many other options for accommodation in the area. If you are looking for alternate accommodation arrangements for the conference, we can recommend the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bostonhotelbuckminster.com\/\">Hotel Buckminster<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beaconinn.com\/\">Beacon Inn<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.holidayinn.com\/hotels\/us\/en\/brookline\/bklma\/hoteldetail\">Holiday Inn (Brookline)<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eliothotel.com\/\">Eliot Hotel<\/a>, all of which have rooms available for the dates of the conference.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday evening there are no conference activities planned, and we encourage you to visit the city.
