Before your first visit<\/h3>\n

Incoming Spring 2026 students may begin <\/strong>utilizing FitRec once they have been issued their Terrier Card (BUID) and signed their online waiver<\/a> in order to activate their BUID. <\/span>Visit our Access FAQ page<\/a> for more information on student access.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

FitRec Membership<\/h3>\n

As a full-time student at Boston University, you are automatically granted access to the Fitness and Recreation Center, one of the country’s top university fitness centers. During your time at Boston University you have access to our phenomenal facilities<\/a>, the chance to participate with dozens of Club Sports<\/a> and Intramural Teams<\/a> and a discounted rate for our wide variety of recreation classes and access to physical education classes<\/a> for college credit. Take advantage of FitRec’s incredible offerings and incorporate wellbeing into your daily routine!<\/p>\n

As a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, the only thing you need to access FitRec is your BU Terrier Card. Part-time students pay a nominal monthly fee. Visiting Scholars are eligible for membership at the Faculty\/Staff<\/a> level.<\/p>\n

Full-Time Student Pricing<\/h3>\n

Access to FitRec for full-time students is included in your tuition. Please sign your waiver<\/a> to activate your BUID. Visit our Access FAQ page<\/a> to learn more about access dates for incoming students. Marriage certificate must be submitted to perdmbsg@bu.edu<\/a> prior to attempting to purchase spouse membership. We will confirm receipt when reviewed. Prior to submitting marriage certificate, ensure your spouse has been added to your household within your MyFitRec account. To add a new person to your household, log in<\/a>, click your name in the top right of the screen, and then select “Household Account Management”, and then the button that reads “Household and Member Update”.

This is a monthly membership. There will be a reoccurring charge on the first of each month until membership is cancelled via our online form<\/a>. Cancellation request deadline is the 25th of the month<\/strong> to stop billing for the following month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Starting June 1, 2025<\/strong>, any spouse or dependent 16+ will need to pay the ID fee either at time of purchase or at their first check in. Please bring photo ID showing proof of age in order to have your FitRec ID printed.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Part-Time Student (Degree-Seeking) Monthly Recurring Plans<\/h3>\n

NOTE: People taking class at BU not part of a degree-seeking program should purchase Friends of BU<\/a> Monthly plan or Summer Weekly Pass<\/a> Option.<\/em><\/p>\n

Cancellation request deadline is the 25th of the month<\/strong> to stop billing for the following month.
