Are you motivated and passionate about health and fitness? Boston University’s FitRec offers a semester-long course that prepares students to take and pass the nationally accredited Personal Training Certification exam and become Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers. The course includes practical and theoretical seminars in basic anatomy and exercise physiology, fitness evaluation, training, program design, nutrition, teaching methods, and safety issues. Offered in the fall and spring.

Personal Training Certification Prep Course

The Personal Training prep course is designed to prepare individuals for Certified Personal Trainer Examination given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT). Includes practical and theoretical seminars in basic anatomy and exercise physiology, fitness evaluation, training program design, nutrition, teaching methods, and safety issues. This is a full-semester course and runs both fall and spring semesters. Register here

 

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Prep Course

Are you motivated and passionate about health and fitness? FitRec offers a semester-long course that prepares individuals to take the National Strength and Conditioning Association test, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). You will learn how to apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. The course includes practical and theoretical seminars in anatomy, exercise physiology, athletic testing, advanced strength training principles, sports nutrition, and injury prevention. Register here.
