Personal Training

Why register for Personal Training @ FitRec?
  • To receive proper fitness instruction right from the start under the supervision of a nationally certified personal trainer.
  • To have a workout program developed in accordance with your own personal fitness goals.
  • To prepare you for an event/sport and help you achieve more accurate results.

To receive Personal Training:

1. Complete forms below and either return or fax them to the Fitness Department at (617) 353-5147.

2. Register and pay for package below, or in person at the PERD Office at the Fit Rec Center Monday through Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm.

3. You will be contacted by email or phone to schedule your training sessions

To Become a Personal Trainer:

In addition, the Personal Training Certification course is offered in both the spring and the fall semesters. This semester-long course prepares students to sit for a nationally accredited Personal Training Certification exam.

Personal Training Services:

Program Design:
$65 - members / $75 - non-members

This one-session personal training option is ideal for the college student or adult looking for more direction with their workout. It includes a program design that will be prepared by the personal trainer with specific exercises and recommendations based on your goals. Your session will go over the workout leaving you with an individualized program to follow on your own.

Fitness Evaluation plus Initial Session
$130 - members / $140 - non-members

Includes a basic fitness assessments, a consultation of results, and one personal training session.

Fitness Evaluation
$60 - members / $70 - non-members

A comprehensive evaluation session that includes assessments for cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, body composition, and flexibility. Your results will be amiled you you in an explanation document.

Semi-Private Personal Training, 1 session
$50 - members / $60 - non-members

Two Clients will receive one hour of private fitness instruction under the supervision of a nationally certified personal trainer. When registering, please register with a partner with goals similar to your own.

Participants receive a single hour long session; one-on-one fitness instruction under the supervision of a nationally certified personal trainer.

Body Composition Analysis
$20 - members / $30 - non-members

The caliper method is used to measure percent body fat and percent lean body weight. Individual guidelines on motivation and exercise are provided. Participants should come dressed in t-shirts and shorts and should refrain from exercising directly prior to being tested.
