Camp Terrier  Sports & Recreation: Sailing Focus

Ages 9 – 13

Fees: Member – $555, Nonmember – $675

Does your camper want to learn to sail on their own? Campers in this focus will learn all aspects of sailing, including: terminology, how to tie knots, rig their sailboat and capsize safely. Sailors of all abilities are welcome and no prior sailing experience is necessary. Campers will spend three hours per day on the Charles River and will be divided into groups based on age and sailing experience. All sailing focus campers will participate in daily instructional swim, recreational swim and a variety of games and activities in the gym. Campers will have two opportunities to climb each week.

8:30 – 9 am Drop Off/Group Activities
9 – 10:15  am Rock Climbing
10:15 – 10:30 am Snack
10:30 – 11:15 am Instructional Swim
11:15 am – 12 pm Recreational Swim
12 – 1 pm Lunch
1 – 4 pm Sailing Lesson
4 – 4:15 pm Return to FitRec/Snack
4:15 – 5 pm Gym Games: Newcomb, Knock Out
5 – 5:30 pm Group Activities/Pick Up
