FitRec is open for summer hours starting Monday, May 24. Workout reservations are required for all recreational use. Reserve your workout time here. Your Terrier Card, a green badge on the Healthway app and a mask are required for all entries.

Which EMS classes are being held?

What about the EMT class?

We are currently offering the EMT class to BU students and faculty/staff only. The EMT class currently involves a remote didactic learning format and in-person practical skills. The in-person practical skills are required in order to be eligible for certification and will be scheduled on weekends. For further information, please see the course syllabus.

Will there be labs?

Yes. For the EMT class, there will be a combination of remote scenario-based labs and in-person labs scheduled on weekends. A reminder for the EMT class that the in-person practical skills are required in order to be eligible for certification and will be scheduled on weekends. As for the other EMS classes, labs will be conducted in-person where the classes require in-person practical skill demonstration and evaluation.

How will social distancing and other safety protocols be enforced in my class?

All classes adhere to the current University and state guidelines and in-person sessions have been approved by the Medical Advisory Group. All instructors have been trained with the execution of these safety protocols to ensure the safety of all individuals.

Which classes are online?

Continuing education classes and the NCCR have been approved for VILT credit by OEMS and will be held remotely. CPR classes and the EMT class will require in-person practical skills demonstration and evaluation in order to obtain or be eligible for certification.
