Exit counseling requirements were created to ensure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a borrower. During the counseling, you will learn how to make repayment of your loans easier, how to get help, and protect your credit rating if you have problems.<\/p>\n<div class=\"note\"><strong>Important notes:<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"note\">If you&#8217;re a graduating student, your Boston University diploma will be withheld until you complete your Exit Counseling<\/li>\n<li class=\"note\">You can complete your Direct Loan Exit Counseling online at the federal<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/exit-counseling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> studentloans.gov<\/a> website using your federal FSA ID<\/li>\n<li class=\"note\">If you have not set up your FSA ID username and password, click on the &#8220;Create an Account&#8221; link to create your FSA ID before starting the exit counseling session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Exit Counseling is a Federal Direct Loan requirement.
