Candidates must apply for admission by December 1. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/admissions\/tuition-aid\/scholarships-financial-aid\/first-year-merit\/\">BU Admissions<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> website for more information.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Need-Based Aid<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">International students are not eligible for need-based financial aid from Boston University, the state, or the federal government. Need-based financial aid is available only to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/how-aid-works\/eligibility\/citizenship\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Credit-Based Loans<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most lenders offering <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/how-aid-works\/types-of-aid\/loans\/credit-based-loans\/international\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">credit-based educational loans to international students<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> require that a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen credit-worthy co-borrower apply for the loan along with the primary borrower. Certain lenders do not require a co-borrower.
