The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for state and federal grants, scholarships, work-study and loans. The FAFSA can be completed on the Federal Student Aid website. The Boston University FAFSA school code is 002130. Keep an eye on your MyBU Student Portal To-do list for any additional requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Register for Summer Courses.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you review the requirements for any summer financial aid that you are applying for:\n<ul>\n<li>Federal Direct Loans require\u00a0<u>at least<\/u>\u00a06 credits of summer enrollment (at least \u00bd time enrollment over the Summer Term).\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Summer Financial Aid Applications:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Summer HUB Grant Application (Application Available 4\/1\/26)\n<ul>\n<li>BU HUB scholarship\/grant aid is available for only<span>\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>one<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/finaid\/undergraduate-students\/summer\/\">qualifying course<\/a> during Summer 2026. Additional qualifying courses will not be covered by BU grant aid. <span>To be eligible for BU HUB scholarship\/grant aid to cover all or a portion of the tuition and fee charges for these courses a student must be a recipient of BU need-based scholarship\/grant aid in the academic year (fall\/spring).
