Hahm is a founder of SSW’s Asian American Women’s Health Initiative Project and its offshoot, a federally funded BU-based study called AWARE (Asian Women’s Action for Resilience and Empowerment), which seeks to improve the mental and sexual health of Chinese American, Vietnamese American and Korean American young women in a manner sensitive to their cultural experiences and challenges.
