First Time in the College Classroom: Tips for New Faculty

Teaching for the first time can be overwhelming, as guidelines can be insufficient and new instructors are sometimes unaware of the potential for certain circumstances to arise. This presentation covers technical and pedagogical issues new instructors may face when teaching for the first time in the college classroom. Issues to be addressed in this Teaching Talk were selected based on 56 accumulated journals, written after teaching a foreign language course in the Modern Languages and Comparative Literature department.
