South Campus Residences

A number of undergraduate residences underwent a significant renovation during the summer of 2014. The 30 bathrooms in Audubon Court, 514–522 Park Drive (a suite-style residence), were modernized with new bathtubs/showers, sinks, and water-saving toilets. In addition, seven apartment-style residences on Buswell and Mountfort Streets (15, 17, 35, 39, 41, and 55 Buswell Street and 46 Mountfort Street) underwent similar bathroom upgrades as well as kitchen renovations. The kitchen renovations consisted of installation of new cabinets and counters, ENERGY STAR appliances (including built-in microwaves), new fixtures, electrical and plumbing upgrades, plus new paint, carpet, and VCT or tile flooring. Electrical upgrades were completed in all buildings including replacement of all halogen and fluorescent fixtures with more efficient LED lights and USB outlets were installed in all units. New steel entry doors and hardware were added to all buildings to improve security. In total, there were 104 bathrooms and 76 kitchens remodeled, positively improving the living environment for 299 students.
