Joan and Edgar Booth Theatre & Boston University Production Center – Construction Activity – September 22, 2017 through October 9, 2017
For September 22, 2017 through October 9, 2017:
- Permitted by the Town of Brookline and in accordance with the approved Construction Management Plan, authorized work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday work schedules must be requested and approved by the Town.
- Brookline Police details will continue to be posted at the construction site entrance gate at Dummer Street, to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
- Complete north plaza waterproofing
- Place north plaza structural concrete slab
- Finish wall on level 4 of the theatre building
- Install structural fill and sidewalks along the Dummer Street elevation
- Install parking booth pad and associated electrical infrastructure
- Develop lobby spaces
- Install countertops in public and private restrooms
Key Construction Activities
- Place stone base of theatre building plaza walls at select locations beneath the metal panels
- Complete placement of the pre-cast concrete exoskeleton on the east, north, and west elevations. Detailed clip welding is in progress and will be completed.
- Installation of Geofoam beneath the structural plaza slab near Commonwealth Avenue. The north plaza development is one of the next construction focal points of the project.
- Install doors on levels 3 and 4 of theatre building
