I started at BU by taking a tour of campus in 2013\u2014I never applied, go figure\u2014but when I began freelance writing in the MarCom department in October 2022, it felt full-circle. In December of that year, I went full-time.<\/p>\n
I joined the DEI committee to help build a more robust, friendly, inclusive community within the MarCom department. As a straight, white guy, I\u2019m mindful that my voice isn\u2019t the one that needs to be elevated; but I feel strongly that fostering a diverse workplace is the responsibility of everyone, and my priority is to shoulder some of the background work needed to enrich our office.<\/span><\/p>\n If I\u2019m honest, I don\u2019t love the idea of hoarding\u2014if something is scarce, I’d rather savor it than save it up.
