The Institute for Excellence in Teaching & Learning offers a variety of events, programs, and workshops designed to support faculty in navigating conversations around and incorporating AI into their teaching and learning practices at BU.

Collaboratively Discovering AI

In-Studio AI Jam

Do you have a lingering question about AI, or perhaps a "riff" of an idea for your classroom that you’re ready to amplify? Drop in for an open In-Studio AI Jam: Collaboratively Discovering AI session!

Whether you want to drop in for ten minutes to troubleshoot a specific prompt or stay for the full time to build a complete prototype with our team, the floor is yours. This is your chance to get hands-on with Terrier GPT, explore new tools, and navigate the spontaneous, unstructured workflow of AI in a low-pressure environment. These sessions are open to all BU faculty and staff.

Live Listening Sessions on AI

Clearing the AIr

"Clearing the AIr" offers 90-minute, on-site listening sessions led by BU’s Assistant Director of AI & Education, during which faculty can discuss the opportunities and challenges of AI in teaching and learning in a collegial, high-empathy setting.

BU’s schools, colleges, and departments can receive tailored guidance, practical tools, and a shared framework that meet your faculty where they are and help shift classroom practice toward equitable, sustainable AI responsiveness.
