Mark Feeney<\/h4>\n

Mark Feeney started as a researcher in the Boston Globe’s library in 1979. He has been assistant book editor, book editor, editor of the Globe\u2019s weekly section of news analysis and commentary, and a staff writer for the Boston Globe Magazine. Currently an arts writer and photography reviewer for the Globe’s Living\/Arts section, Feeney has also written for the paper’s news, food, and \u201cAt Home\u201d sections and its editorial page. His work has appeared in the New Republic, Commonweal, the Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Harper’s, The American Scholar, The Washington Monthly, and the New York Observer.<\/p>\n

The University of Chicago Press published his Nixon at the Movies: A Book about Belief in 2004. Vanity Fair\u2019s James Wolcott called the book \u201ctransfixing,\u201d and in The (London) Observer, Peter Conrad called it \u201can ingenious study of Nixon\u2019s mythomania,\u201d while describing its author as \u201ca perceptive analyst and a vividly aphoristic writer.\u201d In 2008, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for criticism for a series of ten essays on visual culture, that ranged from photography to painting and film.<\/p>\n

Since 2004, Feeney has been a lecturer in American Studies at Brandeis University. (2009)

Klaus Dieter Frankenberger<\/h4>\n

Klaus Dieter Frankenberger is currently foreign editor of the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung which editorial staff he joined in September 1986. His writings deal especially with the United States, European, transatlantic, and international politics. Prior to his positions at the Frankfurter Allgemeine, he was a congressional fellow and served as assistant to a member of Congress in 1985 and 1986, taking thereby a closer look on the political decision-making process of the United States. Frankenberger\u2019s previous academic activities include research positions at the Center for North American Studies in Frankfurt\/Main and a Marshall-Fellowship at Harvard University in 1990. Franco Frattini<\/h4>\n

Franco Frattini was appointed Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Freedom, Security, and Justice on November 22, 2004. His Commission is responsible for, among other issues, the fight against terrorism, integration of immigrants, and the harmonization of national laws in the area of civil and criminal law. Previously he served as Italian Minister for Foreign Affairs (2002-2004) and Minister for Civil Service and for Coordination of Intelligence and Security Services (2001-2002). A lawyer by trade and Tuscan by origin, he was a member of the Italian Parliament and President of the Parliamentary Committee for Intelligence and Security Services and State Secrets from April 1996 to November 2004.
