{"id":10,"date":"2011-10-10T18:55:39","date_gmt":"2011-10-10T22:55:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/european\/?page_id=10"},"modified":"2020-02-24T16:44:29","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T21:44:29","slug":"academics","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/european\/academics\/","title":{"rendered":"Academics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Europe is an area of great importance in and to the world through its cultural heritage; its political, economic, military, and religious histories; its literature, music, film, and philosophy; as well as in its recent emergence as a new kind of international form through the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Boston University\u2019s European Studies program combines a unifying regional focus with a multidisciplinary approach, enabling students to bring together courses that develop their language skills; social, historical, and cultural knowledge; and political, economic, and international relations expertise.
