It uses strong encryption to protect sensitive data. Implementation is easy and it integrates into the Outlook e-mail client for ease of use.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Confidential Information<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Confidential information is anything personally identifiable which can be linked back to a student and which could facilitate a breach of privacy or identity theft, including a student\u2019s name, UID number, address, date of birth, and Social Security number.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Requesting SecureMail for Your Department<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>If you wish to request SecureMail for your department&#8217;s use, have your director or <a href=\"data-trustee\" target=\"_blank\">Data Trustee<\/a> send an e-mail to the <a href=\"mailto:eso-netadmin@bu.edu\">ESO Network Administrator<\/a>.
