The Peel 3 is a handheld white light 3D scanner capable of capturing and rendering mesh (STL) geometry in-color at a resolution of 0.25mm-0.1mm.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n3D scanning applications cover broad spectrum of topics, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reverse engineering antique technology<\/li>\n<li>Rendering anatomical models for bio-medical engineering<\/li>\n<li>Creating digital reproductions of artifacts<\/li>\n<li>Part inspection and metrology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The scanning system includes a dedicated computer along with easy-to-learn acquisition software. Users also have access to the more advanced VXelements software suite, which includes an array of mesh editing, mesh-to-CAD, and metrology tools.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAll users must pass the 3D Scanner Safety and Use quiz, and must check out the scanning system with front desk staff prior to use.
