Graduate students at BU may take the team-taught, interdisciplinary courses for credit. Each fall, GCWS offers a &#8220;Workshop for Dissertation Writers in Women&#8217;s and Gender Studies&#8221; in addition to other courses listed on their website.<\/p>\n<p>For more information and application instructions, visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/web.mit.edu\/gcws\/index.html\">GCWS website<\/a>.\u00a0Contact Professor Carrie Preston at <a href=\"mailto:cjpresto@bu.edu\" target=\"_blank\">cjpresto@bu.edu<\/a> with questions.<\/p>\n<h2>Boston Area Graduate Consortium<\/h2>\n<p>Graduate students in the Department of English are able to cross-register for graduate courses at other local academic institutions, including Boston College, Brandeis University, Northeastern University, and Tufts University.\u00a0During a given academic year, a student is permitted to cross-register only once. Cross-registrants should expect to satisfy all prerequisites and requirements for courses as indicated by the host institution.
