Family & Friends Weekend

  • All Day on Friday, October 22, 2021
Get ready to pack your suitcases, travel to Boston, and spend some quality time with your Terrier. We are excited to welcome you to campus for Boston University’s Family & Friends Weekend 2021 on Friday, October 22-Sunday, October 24! (This is the same weekend as the Head of the Charles Regatta, which takes place on October 23-24, 2021.) The festivities will begin on Friday, October 22 with receptions at our school/colleges, art exhibits, concerts, a research symposium, and an information session at the Educational Resource Center (ERC)—just to name a few! Jump start your Saturday with the Parents’ Pulse Meeting led by Associate Provost and Dean of Students Kenneth Elmore, learn about Student Abroad as well as the Center for Career Development (CCD), attend an opera, and cheer on our Terriers at sporting events throughout the day. On Saturday night join us for a Terrier Tailgate and cheer on our BU Men’s Hockey Team at the Agganis Arena. Then wrap up your weekend with a stretch and breathe class and take in the Head of the Charles Regatta from the banks of the Charles River running parallel to campus—making almost every spot on-campus a good vantage point! For a complete schedule of events click on the schedule tab listed above. Please note that you must register in advance for the events you plan to attend. Registration for Family & Friends Weekend 2021 will go live by Friday, September 17, 2021. You will receive electronic tickets via Eventbrite after you have registered. Tickets are limited, available on a first come, first serve basis, and will be required to attend events unless otherwise noted on the schedule. Lastly, please note that the schedule of events is subject to change. Boston University is committed to providing a safe campus environment. In accordance with current BU safety protocol, cloth face coverings or disposable masks must be worn indoors at all times when not actively eating or drinking. We also strongly encourage all visitors to campus to be vaccinated. Any participant with symptoms that could be related to COVID-19 should not engage in group activities and seek medical advice. We also want to remind you of the Boston University’s Guest Policy for the Fall 2021. Please email or call 617-358-1187 with any questions. We look forward to welcoming you to campus in October!
