\nThe following are some general notes about installing and using Mocha (tn3270). If you’re trying to install from off campus, follow these instructions for mounting the Support drive: MountingENGNAS<\/a><\/p>\n

VPN<\/h2>\n

To connect to uisa.bu.edu, you will have to connect to the 2 Factor VPN: https:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/services\/cccs\/remote\/vpn\/two-factor-vpn\/<\/a><\/p>\n

For Windows<\/h3>\n

If installing after mounting support navigate to:<\/p>\n

\\\\software\\windows\\i386\\Mochasoft\\Mocha tn3270 Win<\/p>\n

and run the tn3270.msi<\/p>\n

Edit\/New Session<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Name: UIS<\/li>\n
  2. IBm Mainframe IP Address: uisa.bu.edu<\/li>\n
  3. Port Number: 992<\/li>\n
  4. Security: SSL<\/li>\n
  5. Terminal Size: 24×80<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For Mac<\/h4>\n

    If installing, after mounting support navigate to:<\/p>\n

    \/software\/mac\/os x\/tn3270<\/p>\n

    Mount the dmg, then drag the application to the Applications folder in the finder. Use the following configuration settings.<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Mount the tn327.dmg<\/li>\n
    2. Drag the tn3270 X from the mounted device to the Applications folder in the Finder.<\/li>\n
    3. Launch tn327 and configure:\n
        \n
      1. Host Name: uisa.bu.edu<\/li>\n
      2. Window Title: UIS<\/li>\n
      3. Select the “Special” icon: set port number to 992, and security to SSL\/TLS and leave the remaining defaults<\/li>\n
      4. Open the Connection<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
      5. Select additional features:\n
          \n
        1. From the Menu Bar select Session<\/li>\n
        2. Screen format allows you to change the font and window size of the terminal<\/li>\n
        3. Miscellaneous lets you change how the cursor is displayed. Block shows where the cursor is in the window (USE IT!)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
        4. Save your configuration to the desktop by selecting File, Save Settings As\n
