The new Access Management Portal<\/a> is integrated directly with our room access system<\/a> and will allow users to make requests to gain swipe access. Room admins are registered in the portal as approvers and can review these requests to either approve or reject them. This process is accompanied by emails from NoReplyCCure@bu.edu which will provide updates on requests as well as links for approvers to quickly take action.<\/p>\n

This system is a complete replacement of the old Zaius portal.<\/p>\n

Requesters<\/h4>

  1. Visit the following link: https:\/\/ccure-portal.bu.edu\/ccureportal\/home<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Enter your BU credentials (including “@bu.edu”) into the login screen\"\"<\/li>\n
  3. Select the Requester section of the portal\"\"<\/li>\n
  4. Select the building which contains the space that you are looking to request access to. Note that you will NOT be able to create a new request from the “<All Sites>” selection; that is only for reviewing all of your access requests at once<\/li>\n
  5. <\/li>\n
  6. \"\"Once in the appropriate building’s site, select “ADD NEW” to create a new request\"\"<\/li>\n
  7. On the new request screen, fill out the Request Name<\/strong> and Justification<\/strong> fields so that the approver will know why you are requesting access\"\"<\/li>\n
  8. Then, click into the Access to<\/strong> field and either type to search or click to view a list of all clearances in this building and select from there (Note that you can hover over a clearance to be able to read the entire name or description)\"\" \"\"<\/li>\n
  9. After selecting a clearance click the “SUBMIT REQUEST” button to complete the request\"\"<\/li>\n
  10. You will be brought to a summary page where you can review your now pending request. Click the “X” to return to the main requests page\"\"<\/li>\n
  11. From this main screen, you can review previously submitted requests or create additional ones for this building\"\"<\/li>\n
  12. If you would like to create additional requests for different buildings, you will need to alter the current site via the dropdown in the Filtering Tools at the top-left of the page\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2. Enter your BU credentials (including “@bu.edu”) into the login screen\"\"<\/li>\n
    3. Select the Approver section of the portal\"\"<\/li>\n
    4. You will be brought to the Pending Access Requests<\/strong> page where you can review all outstanding requests for rooms that you are an approver for. You can select the Clearance name of a request to review its details and take an action\"\"<\/li>\n
    5. From within the detailed view of this request, we can see the relevant building in the Access Site<\/strong> field, the requested room in the Access to<\/strong> field, and the user’s name in the Requested by<\/strong> field. Based on this information, you can make a determination and select the desired action with the corresponding button in the top right\"\"<\/li>\n
    6. After making a selection, you are given the option to add a comment for the requester before confirming the action to approve or reject the request\"\"<\/li>\n
    7. Once you have taken an action, you will be redirected to a summary page of the request, which you can click the “X” on to be taken back to your list of pending requests\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Useful Tips<\/h4>

      \nApprovers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Review all rooms you are an approver for<\/strong>. Navigate to the approver section of the portal, then use the dropdown in the top-left to navigate to the “Audit by Clearance and Person” page. From here you can see all rooms that you have approver status on, as well as click into each room individually to review who has access and remove users as needed.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Known Issues<\/h4>
        <\/a>
        \nRequesters<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
          \n
        1. User cannot sign in.<\/strong> This error is a result of a requester not having access to the portal. Please submit an email to enghelp@bu.edu<\/a> stating the issue so that we can grant this access.\"\"<\/li>\n
        2. PHO room not available to request.<\/strong> If you are trying to apply to a PHO room (particularly the student versions of shared spaces), it may be missing from the list. Please either apply to the Faculty\/Staff room listing or send an email to enghelp@bu.edu<\/a> for us to manually implement the request.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Approvers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

            \n
          1. Users already have room access.<\/strong> This error is a result of an approver trying to approve a request for a user that already has access to the requested room. This request can be safely rejected to clear it from your queue.\"\"<\/li>\n
          2. Action already taken on this request.<\/strong> This error is a result of an approver clicking on the link in an email from a request that has already been approved or rejected (either by themselves or another approver). No further action is needed.\"\"<\/li>\n
          3. Approvers cannot approve their own requests.<\/strong> This error is a result of an approver clicking on the link in an email from a request that they sent for a room that they are an approver for. You will need to get a separate approver for this room to approve the request.\"\"<\/li>\n
          4. No comment provided.<\/strong> This error is a result of an approver trying to approve or reject a request without entering a comment. Simply enter a comment in the popup window before submitting the action.\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
